I have bad rheumatoid arthritis in my left wrist but previously always enjoyed kayaking with my family. The motor and bracket are extremely lightweight and are quick to deploy or remove for transportation. Connect the motor to a (lite weight) midsize Lithium deep cycle battery and it gave me all equipment weights that I could easily work with, generous amount of thrust, speed and good distance. Been out many times this summer and works well.

Really wanted something larger to replace my 55lb Minn Kota…but COVID. So I purchased this one, and am very impressed. For less money it is actually a superior product. The hinge connection is made of stronger plastic and the battery life is better. I had the old one for over twelve years. Time will tell of this will last…seems as if it will.
